There are coolant lines on the throttle body front and back. Most likely thats where its coming from. Check/replace them.

If you don't have one,get a magnetic spark plug socket. Amazon has them.

You can but it generally turns out to be a short trip.

Could be the injector also, but of course check the easy stuff first.

The Throttle Position Sensor was the cause of my P0171 though I didn't notice any pinging. Its fairly easy to test with a multimeter though I'd look at the MAF and your vacuum lines 1st.
