Since most people spend 90% of their time inside a 4Runner in an urban area, I would think the crawl control and multi-terrain selector on the trail edition rarely gets used. So I'd vote for the Limited.

2009 Trail Edition - Torsen and both a center and rear locker. Yes, you give up some creature comforts of the Sport and Limited Editions, but overall the 09 Trail is the best in my opinion (wished I had one). And you know what they say about opinions...

Given the same tires would the 17 still be a bit mushy?

I was told the same thing by my dealer. Available soon in a 6 lug pattern for the 4Runner. Apparently they are waiting for more wheels to come in from Japan before releasing them for sale at $399.00 each.

No salt use in Oregon, yet. Plus, this past winter has been relatively benign and the need for gravel or chemical defrosting did not occur (if it did, it was minimal).

Can someone tell me of what use is the black plastic fascia hanging just underneath the painted portion on the bottom of the front end of the limited? Any useful purpose? Has anyone tried to remove it? It would seem that the 2-3 inches of black plastic would change the approach angle by...
