Have a '01 SR5 - steering rack, lower control arms, tie rods, etc need replacing - all bushings roached... rack leaking. Can anyone recommend a Mechanic in Dana Point / Laguna / San Clemente area of SoCal that I can trust to do it right? Much appreciated.

Can anyone recommend a good front end mechanic that can change out lower control arms, tie rods, steering rack on '01 SR5 that lives in Laguna / Dana Point area? Not much of a wrencher or would try myself - bushing shot on everything... Thanks

Price is for 2 used 03 4runner OEM rear lateral (trailing) arms 27" hole to hole. About 200k miles no off road and mostly hwy miles; Perfectly fine condition. they are collecting dust. Asking $60 + shipping but will take any reasonable offer

I took mine to a local machine shop - they did there thing on it, I put it back on. Definately helped but still have the hummmmm of a vibration at 65-75, very much so at 80. $100 to do it, lesson learned. I found a dealer that will sell OEM shaft complete with Ujoints and new spacers, nuts bolts...

Thanks for the responses - I will get new one, not the Ujoints so it must be the rubber sleeve

I have an 01 4runner SR5 2WD - can't get rid of dreaded 60mph subtle vibration even after new OEM Ujoint replacement. Looking for options - looks like I'll need a new drive shaft. OEM expensive ... any aftermarket recommendations? Thanks

update on troubleshoot / symtoms Here is what I have noticed - when I fill tank, I noticed there is never pressure when I unscrew gas cap. Gas cap is new. I also catch a whiff every now and then of gas but it is not coming from spout, smells like it is around the tank but it is not "wet" Based...

Not sure on code guy in shop said "emissions". Can autozone pull a specific code?
