I ended up using some stick on foam pieces under the plate. Now there is no metal plate touching the truck. Thanks for the tips guys.

So I just received the plates for the wife truck, went to put them on and was like wtf. Is everyone just bolting the plates right up against the paint? I just cant do that. Do they make a piece that the license plate can lay against so it doesn't scratch the paint?
