    First brake job?

On my 2004, front brakes lasted almost 50k. They weren't making noise yet but I replaced them. The front rotors were warped and had to be replaced. The rear I just had done at about 70k, rotors were fine to machine and reuse.

I think the locker will only engage if it is in 4lo, maybe he was in hi.

Buying a T4R, dumb (mostly offroading) questions...

The only question I can give any input on is the tall driver. I am 6'5", 245 and I have no problem in my 04 SR5. The telescoping wheel would be nice, but not too necessary. I have driven it from NY to AR a few times without discomfort. Hope that helps a little. Also, I have the v6 and...

    Tacoma child seat question

Quick question; can a belt positioning booster for a four year old be used in the rear of an extended cab Tacoma? Not the four door, but just extended cab. If not, can the passenger air bag be turned off easily? I am getting rid of my Dodge Ram, since I am tired of fixing it. I am very happy...

    04 mildly offroad

Thanks everyone, yes, my wife and I are KC fans. My Jeep is a 1991 XJ (Cherokee) with 3" lift and 31x10.50 Cooper Disc. STT's, homemade rock sliders and a few other things. Nothing too fancy, but it handles well off road. A major plus is I am not too concerned with trail damage. <embed...

    04 mildly offroad

I am in Springfield, but in the pics we were down by Mountain Home, AR visiting family. I make it out to Chadwick and Southern MO Off-Road Ranch in Seymour sometimes, but usually in my older Cherokee.

    04 mildly offroad

Hopefully I'm doing this right, never posted pics before. I have an 04 SR5, love it. Finally got it a little bit off road, usually reserved for my Jeep. I must say it handled great. Pretty mild stuff, but fun to splash in a puddle anyway!

    A/T's vs. Revo

Thanks to everyone for the responses to an age old discussion. I went with the Revo's, 265 70 17's, hardly heard a negative word about them. They rode nice on the way home and as well as any tire on my ice covered street. They look pretty good, too. Thanks again everyone

    A/T's vs. Revo

I've read a ton of old posts, as well as reviews at Tire rack. I started a new thread because I was specifically curious about Dueller A/T's compaired to the Revo's and was wondering if anyone knew the difference. Thanks for the reply

    A/T's vs. Revo

Hey all, I am in the market for a new set of tires. It is mostly for the soccer mom, my Cherokee sees the serious off road. I would like to take her 2004 out on a trail every now and then, though. I have been reading through old threads and searching. My only question is about Bridgestone...

    rotor size question

I didn't try to put them on, so I am unsure what would be involved. I would guess changing the calipers would be in order, but that is just a guess. Search away.

    rotor size question

Sounds right to me. O'reilley's only asked what size wheel I had (SR5 with 17's) and sold me the wrong size, too big. I am just glad I remembered to compare them to the old ones before trying to put the caliper back on.

How long did your brakes last?

new front pads and rotors (old ones warped) at 49k, alot of highway but not all of it. It was still braking fine and probably could have gotten a few thousand more miles out of pads, just wanted to replace them while I had a chance.
