A/T's vs. Revo

Hey all, I am in the market for a new set of tires. It is mostly for the soccer mom, my Cherokee sees the serious off road. I would like to take her 2004 out on a trail every now and then, though. I have been reading through old threads and searching.

My only question is about Bridgestone Dueler A/T's and Revo's. What is the difference between the two? I priced a set of A/T's today and they seemed reasonable. I almost went with BFG's, but I don't think it will see enough snow (SW Missouri) or off road to justify them.

Any thoughts or opinions? Thanks

Lots of threads on this topic , all personal preference.

For the type of things you want to do Revos would be fine. BFGs are great and are a true all terrain tire.

You also might want to look into Nitto TG's , Goodyear Silent Armor have a great rating for an all terrain.

I have Revos 265/70/17 w/16,000 miles on them. They are a decent tire , great in rain , but otherwise nothing special but should work well for your application. I will swap out my Revos before next winter.

I've read a ton of old posts, as well as reviews at Tire rack. I started a new thread because I was specifically curious about Dueller A/T's compaired to the Revo's and was wondering if anyone knew the difference. Thanks for the reply

Do you mean Bridgestone Dueller A/T's vs. the REVO's? If so the REVOS all the way.

We have one 4x4 ( Ford Escape ) with Dueller AT and my 4R with Revos.

Personally I dont notice the diff. They both are OK in snow and have mildly off roaded the Escape with no problems.

My personal opinion is I would go with something else. This is a Revo orientated board and when I bought mine I was disappointed. They are nice tire but nothing to write home about . Ride nice , nice in rain , marginal in snow , bad in mud. Its more of an aggressive all season tire than an all terrain tire.

The Bridgestone Dueller A/T's are in the same class as the Dunlops stock on the Runner. Ok tires but nothing special.

If I had to pic against the 2 versions I would go with the Revo version.

The do ride nice and handle well in rain and light snow. Although I did drive in a foot of snow on friday and they did fine and got me through. Thats really the bottom line I guess.

Thanks to everyone for the responses to an age old discussion. I went with the Revo's, 265 70 17's, hardly heard a negative word about them. They rode nice on the way home and as well as any tire on my ice covered street. They look pretty good, too. Thanks again everyone
