I had 180k on my 05 V6 when I bought it and it had the original plugs on it. Denso on one side NGK on the other. I noticed almost no difference in performance after changing to NGK iridium. So I wouldn't sweat it unless you are having performance issues. They also came out pretty easily...

Sorry to stomp into 3rd gen forum. I moved from commuting with a Toyota Solara (30+ mpg) to a 4Runner so it's an adjustment for me. The 19 is hand calculated and I guess I will be happy with it.

I have that same trash lever on my 05. Don't really use it ever. Looks like it might be degrading the plastic. you could take it off and spray paint it black or grey.

Yes thank you for this post. I used it to save a great amount of time changing out all my differentials. Other then taking the wrong skid plate off it was pretty painless. And after 180k miles the transfers case oil did not look that bad. I don't know if you ever need to change that unless...

I get around 300 miles per tank, but the weird thing is that I have a 23 gallon tank and even when it's on Empty I can only put about 17-18 gallons in. Don't know why I need a 5 gallon buffer. Maybe two or three would work.
