    HID on High Beams

There are two systems for this: 1. One bulb for both high and low beams. When you switch high beams a cover comes off the high beam portion. 2. Two bulbs: one high beam and one low. When you switch high beams a cover comes off the high beam bulb.

    ARB Bumper and Springs

I'm thinking about installing an ARB Bumper on my T4R, but a friend of mine who installed one tells me I will need to install stiffer springs to avoid sagging from the extra weight. I wouldn't include a Winch, so it's just the bumper weight. Also, he tells me that for some reason his bumper is...

How Long before We See a Sealed Engine with No Oil Dipstick

Last time I heard, BMW has FREE scheduled maintenance for 5 years, which includes oil.

How Long before We See a Sealed Engine with No Oil Dipstick

Sealed transmission? Probably Sealed fossil-fuel internal combustion engine? With present and inmediately future technologies? Impossible, unless it's a disposable engine.

    Piaa Sucks!!!

Thanks, spud72 Thanks for your kindness of getting out of your way to help me!!! The replacement lens is on its cross-continent trip on a UPS truck. Once I replace it, I'll wrap the lights in some stone protecting film. Thanks again, and if you need my help anyday, I owe you one!!!

I am now hood scoop functional!

This is a functional hood scoop The function of the hood scoop is to feed air into the intercooler, to cool off the air that becomes hot after being pressurized by the turbocharger. Here's an old picture of my engine:

I guess the message is: If you are going to cut a bumper or grille to install auxiliary lamps, go with a RELIABLE company, like HELLA.

    Piaa Sucks!!!

Almost a year after installing a pair of PIAA 90 PRO XT lights on my T4R (Photo), I noticed that one of them seems to have been cracked by a stone. I called PIAA to order a replacement lens, and they told me they discontinued these lights 3 years ago, and they don't have replacement lens...

    Fog lights, on or off

Oh, really? Where's the aftermarket solution to fill those OEM holes with something useful? The strange thing is that there are aftermarket fog lamps for the Prado, but not for the 4Runner

    Fog lights, on or off

Those factory "fog" lights are a waste of materials, and a waste of energy to turn them on. They are a real engineering shame of Toyota. No wonder they eliminated them on the 2006 T4R.

    Toyota Radio Aux Input?

What's the best, most reliable, cheapest aux input for this OEM HU (Radio)?

    Diesel 4runner??

Wrong. These figures are standardized by CAFE-converted mpg. They're accurate, taken from the Kyoto protocol agreement to reduce greenhouse emission gases, signed by more than 160 countries worldwide. The only two developed countries that did not signed were Australia and U.S.A.
