Piaa Sucks!!!

Almost a year after installing a pair of PIAA 90 PRO XT lights on my T4R (Photo), I noticed that one of them seems to have been cracked by a stone.

I called PIAA to order a replacement lens, and they told me they discontinued these lights 3 years ago, and they don't have replacement lens available anymore.

I don't care if they stopped making it, if they cared a little about the customer, they would still sell replacement lens, specially being $600 msrp lamps.

I took the risk of opening holes on my bumper grille counting on PIAA being a responsible company that stood by its products, but now I wish I had chosen Hella 550, which have been available for more than 20 years.

SHAME ON YOU, PIAA!!!!

I guess the message is:

If you are going to cut a bumper or grille to install auxiliary lamps, go with a RELIABLE company, like HELLA.

I would not cut my bumper for ANY lights!

Me neither.

OP: I was just in a truck accessory shop this AM and they had those exact lights on display. I could ask if they'd be willing to sell their display if you like.. assuming they are discontinued, they may like to dump them. Or, maybe have an alternate supplier.

Catch is I'm in Canada.

I just need a passenger side clear/clear replacement lens.

I gave the store a call and the guy wasn't overly helpful. I'll go buy on the bike this weekend and take a look for you.

The kindness of Spud

What a kind thing to do! I am glad to see the members of this forum go beyond advice in their helpfulness.

When I was reading this page, a Google ad for PIAA was generated at the bottom. Ironic, eh?

LOL! Me too! Must use the text in the posts to spit out a relevant ad I suppose.

Thanks, spud72

Thanks for your kindness of getting out of your way to help me!!!

The replacement lens is on its cross-continent trip on a UPS truck.

Once I replace it, I'll wrap the lights in some stone protecting film.

Thanks again, and if you need my help anyday, I owe you one!!!

This forum really is unique. I miss posting here like I used to. Just about everyone in the '07 Tundra section at Tundra Solutions is a dick!! It's like posting among a bunch of 7th graders over there. And to think we all own the same truck!!

Keep on keepin' on T4R.ORG!!
