This is a major reason I got mine. I also live in HI so auto repair prices are a lot higher. Also this extended warranty covers electrical issues and I think that makes it a lot more worth it. I'm not worried about the drivetrain, but issues with the electronics are a lot more probable.

Are you talking about a used GX and comparing to a new Limited T4R? The new GX460 MSRP is $50,780 and it has a 4.6 L V8. Either way I agree with you that the Limited T4R is overpriced. But the SR5 and Trail editions are not IMO.

Maybe just go with an SR5 4x4. You can get one for almost $10K less than the limited. Get some Wet Okole seat covers, put in an aftermarket sound system, get some aftermarket wheels / tires and you are way better off IMO. I don't miss any of the limited options and I don't like all the chrome.

How did you get that deal? They list it at over $400! Cheapest I found was $368 so far from EB Toyota Parts...

I drive mostly city miles and the best MPG I could get driving "nicely" was 17mpg. That was completely stock and using premium fuel for about half the time. I changed wheels/tires recently and tried to drive nicely again to see what the difference would be. Still ends up around the same 17mpg...
