Do you have the rear window motor? Or the AC fan resistor that allows the ac fan to run at different speeds?

Can the power steering fluid degrade that much that just changing the fluid may help? From searching it seems like if the pump is not 100% and the fluid is real cold, which it is now, at least here, it has trouble pumping it. I haven't had the 4runner long and the first month I had it, it didn't...

I have the same problem, I also have the same year SR5. I've been wanting to try to fix it but have been waiting for nicer weather or to find an easy way to fix it from finding old threads on here.

Can a mod move this to the first gen. category, maybe I can get some help over there?

Did you allready sell the sunroof motor?

Could exhaust gases be getting into the cabin through a bad seal/weather stripping somewhere? if its when your sitting it may explain why you don't smell it while driving.

Here's a pic of a motor with the silver cover over the peice that I am talking about. Mine does not have this cover and when i turn the key in the key hole to lower the window I can see the components inside spinning but the window does nothing.
