Well, it's finally installed. The seal trim actually wasn't too bad to install like everyone said, it just needs to be pushed hard to seat it on the inlet area. What made it easier for me was to start one end in the middle of either the top or the bottom, seemed like it held only the inlet...

Everything is easy to put together, maybe you will have an easier time than me, but I spent a good 45 minutes last night trying to get the rubber seal on the box and I gave up till today! I'll let you know how the install goes today and hopefully take some pictures.

Hmm, I don't have a heat gun. Maybe I'll use the tape idea to try to have one end stick on. It seems to be okay until I start rounding the corner then the seal ends up popping off and I have to start all over again. Hopefully this will be quick. Seems like the actual install will take max 30...

Thanks! I'll try that today. Seems like it just isnt made to sit on that plastic opening. The plastic opening looks too wide for the seal to seat properly. :noidea:

Does anyone have any tips on installing the seal trim to the AFE CAI box for the 2012 4Runner? Can't seem to get it to stay on. Any help would be appreciated, thanks! :confused:
