Correct, there are two connections on the rack one in (high-pressure) and one out (low pressure). Low pressure clamped but this one is screwed with nut. I can't slap my torque wrench on such configuration so I'm trying to be careful to the o-ring under
To me, it looks like your upper radiator hose just slid off. No wonder, as the hose looks very dry and I would replace it ASAP. Other than that, I don't think you have any problems with the radiator
Can you guys help me out by checking the same spot on your truck? I replaced the power steering rack with all the hoses while doing the timing belt. Now I'm putting it all back together and this connection I don't remember how it was in the original state. Is this thread supposed to be visible...
You saved my day, I gave up trying to figure out how to take oil cooler with the filter in place! I watched the video on youtube by EricTheCarGuy how to remove the rack but it skips through the oil cooler part and his assembly moves away with the filter on. That's what confused me. Thanks, I'm...
I'm replacing a lot of parts: TB, water pump, bearings tensioner, seals, power steering rack, hoses from PS pump (high-pressure side) and the low-pressure side. I almost got everything removed but to slide the power steering rack out I need to loosen up the oil cooler. Where are the bolts that...
Search for "frozen calipers" and "5th gen calipers" to get yourself started. In short, if you do not upgrade your calipers to 5th gen ones you will have this problem indefinatelly
I did TB few years ago, almost time to do it again. About 8-10 hour job. I replaced most of the parts that came with the kit including the water pump. I didn't do cam seals and crank seal as it was more work. Very doable just be careful with cams turning on you from the marks. I followed the...
I just bought 285/70/17 Duratracs mounted on OEM 17x7.5 (+30 offset) wheels and they rub a little on left turn especially under acceleration. I suspect they rub on UCAs when truck leans and I can only slide two credit cards between front tire and UCA. Front is obviously not an obstacle because...
some 4x4, some (Limited) 4WD for a V8 models. They behave differently in snow obviously. I really love my 4WD on snow and ice, drives very close to Audis. Safe and with central diff lock quite capable on any winter terrain.
I'm from up north. Got them from toyotapartsdirect.ca where OEM parts considerably cheaper compare to local dealer
These OEM reman calipers the best I've seen between Raybestos, NAPA quality of rebuild wise
If the bushings fused to LCAs then you doomed. If not, yes they can be replaced but you have to find out. Take that bolt out (front) to see if they move
I just did LCA along with UCA, tie-rod ends and new cv axles. You basically have to replace the LCAs for sure as my front bushings were permanently seized and only way getting them out is cutting. That's why you can't align. I had exactly the same problem. I did all work myself except alignment...
I went with SPC UCA's and LCAs with additional caster from Rockauto, if you don't have a lift OEM is great. With 3" Ultimate lift and larger tires OEM is a poor choice.
