Are you in 4lo with the center locked when this happens? Are you running street tires or AT's? Have you done the ABS recall which keeps you from power braking?

I can't speak on LT directly because I don't have it. However, I have friends that do and unless you're jumping or going through whoops it really doesn't make financial sense. With IFS you're always limited. Not to mention the additional cost or bucket gussets, cam tab gussets, knuckle gussets...

Since the bushings are rubber there will be some play in them. Maybe 3/16 or slightly more when sitting still going lock to lock. If there's excessive play in the mounts a technician will be able to notice when he adjusts the toe. He'll set the toe and just by moving the tire it will go back out...

Nothing new from these people. This was like the 3rd or 4th time they changed names. They always say "totally a new company, we just bought the designs from the last company"... There are dozens of posts and articles on these people. The issue I see is that people just don't do the research...

You can always have someone move the steering wheel while you look at the mounts. If the play is significant, you need to replace the rack. Toyota doesn't sell just the bushings and the way they are mounted it makes it hard to press them out on the truck. Other options would be the Whiteline...

I agree with the above statements. A fluid exchange would be best IMO. But at least a drain and fill. Whatever you do, don't do a flush.

FS: 4th gen oem steering rack. Includes aftermarket inner and outer tie rods. The bushings are worn but can be replaced with white line poly bushings. $500 includes shipping to lower 48

Oh, believe my I've tried. I have called every yard and parts puller in the surrounding 5 states. Nobody has it in taupe. I found one on eBay but it was stone grey. I have literally been looking for it for three years.

WTB: 4th gen jack hole cover in taupe. Toyota no longer makes it in this color and I'm not interested in painting a grey one to match. Please keep your eye out or if anyone knows where I can source one please PM me. Thanks fellas!

It does seem odd. I sent this to Sam and his first thought was that the shaft sits different in the tulip end. I'm pretty sure when we built these the ring only goes in one way.
