Congrads on your purchase. The best mods to get are to replace your shocks and steering stabilizer after those then get your brush guard and muffler.

Update: the new speedo fixed the problem. Good news, I only have 14 miles on my truck.:D The bad news, it cost me $390.:(

The dealership call me late yesterday and told me that the sensor was good and that the speedometer was the actual culprit. He said that this was the first time he had ever heard of one going bad. They ordered one and hopefully this will fix it.

Congrats on your purchase. If your rear is sagging, truck that is :D , replace those rear springs. Love that color too.

The one on the transmission.

It was a code 42.

Update: took it to a local mech. after some test he determined that the speed sensor on the transmission was bad. Ordered one, installed, did not fix. After scratching their heads a bit, they told me to take it to toyota. That is where it is at now. Hopefully they will find the problem.

Being I have a 2nd gen. I would say more power and a bigger gas tank.

Update: not having enough time to really look into it, I broke down and took the 4Runner in to a mechanic. They found a sensor on the transmission that had gone bad. The bad news, the replacement is only available through Toyota and costs $317.00.:jaw drop: :sobbing:

If he still has it, then he will probably sell it back for a profit.

Checked fuses, all good. Anything else.
