e-mail problem,please help

Ever since monday, whenever I try to bring up my yahoo or msn e-mail accounts, I get switched over to a search engine called about.com( my home page). I tried to change my home page but it keeps switching back to about.com. I ran Adware 6.0 and a virus detector and all came back good. Can anyone help?

You need to download spybot s&d 1.3:

I would download cwshredder:

I would also download hijackthis:

run that and it will show you everything that is loading when your system starts up...if it looks greek to you...you could take a screen shot of it and post it on short-media....

they have a lot of resources for helping to get rid of hijackers/spyware-adware

I know this seems like a lot, but you can never be too safe....hope this gives you some help.

I manage a middle school's network this is what we put on all of our computers, including my home PC.

Spybot S&D, the link is above. This has an option to Immunize, which will help block future spyware. It will also find and destroy spyware.

Ad-aware. This will just destory spyware

Check for updates before you run each program.

Thanks for the sites. I downloaded cwshredder, ran it, and that fixed my problem. I had been hijacked. I am currently loading spybot and will load the others too. Thanks once again.
