I've got the same problem. I can start hearing it around 30mph. The last time I brought it in they claimed they couldn't hear it. My noise is more rattling then whistling (TSB 0022-14), so I guess I'll check out the plastic flaps.

That's funny! I'm just waiting for them to get back to me on difference between their slider and the OPOR slider. But, I'm glad to hear that it's built solid. Were the last two gussets on the driver side bolt on?

Have you received your Metal Tech sliders? I was just wondering what you thought. I'm really torn between Metal Tech, White Knuckle, and 4x4 Labs. I really like the Metal Techs sliders but wonder how much different they are from the OPOR slider. Also, the 75 lbs weight is a little heavy...

Have you tried testing them by jacking your vehicle up? I'm very close to ordering a set myself.

Ok, I wanted to make sure that there's enough there for a 6 year old to get in and out. How far out is the slider from the rocker? 4" or 5"?

Do the the Shrockwork sliders extend far enough out to be used as a step? Or are you better off with the tread plates? What's the advantage of 2 vs 3 column slider? Thanks!
