Hmm my 98 has the fuel filter underneath the truck where the driver seat is. I just have to slide under the truck. But thats on a V6, not sure about the 4 banger. The symptoms sound like fuel filter to me. Change it. Cant hurt.

I only got 300 miles to a tank when the truck was new... The second tank went down to 280 miles lol Im at 230-260 right now depending on where I drive. 212K and still running like day one! I figured it to be the higher octane gas it was filled with when it was built in Japan.

Real 22RE heads in good shape are scarce. Dont get a China recast head. 3VZ head gasket problems and low power. 5VZ is a strong engine. Good torque.

yes, your best performance uses those areas for an optimal ground plane! but the more metal youre attached to the better. back in the day, people used to also go through the trouble of attaching multiple ground straps from the back of the CB to metal inside of the cabin.

a CB antenna with a ground is better. it turns your vehicle into a "ground plane" so signals reflect better.
