    low beams not working

So, this is embarrassing, but I found the problem and the problem was the nut between the steering wheel and the seat. To add a couple more points of diagnosis to make this thread useful for troubleshooting -- * Above I mentioned not having seen any voltage across the fuse. Well, that was...

    low beams not working

cfranck1, that's really helpful. Thanks for the images; every other link I found was expired. It looks like the one common line for both low beams is the power between the relay and the low beam bulbs. It can't be a ground wire, because the low beams share their grounds with the same-side...

    low beams not working

[Cross posted from 4th gen forum because I realized later that it probably belongs here and I really need the help. This is for a 2006 4Runner.] My low beams are not working. I've read several threads about this issue, and I've gone through all of the suggestions and troubleshoots in those...

"Extra" connector and "VSC, etc lights" on

Solved! It's the connector for the windshield washer fluid level, if it was a Canadian model -- http://www.toyota-4runner.org/4th-gen-t4rs/15677-washer-fluid-level-indicator.html Thanks, ~Patrick

"Extra" connector and "VSC, etc lights" on

I've now driven over 60 miles and the VSC and TRAC lights haven't come on, so I think it was my ODBII connector that tripped the ECU into throwing those lights. Still wondering about that connector, though. Anyone have any ideas what is is, or where I can find some parts fiches to see what...

"Extra" connector and "VSC, etc lights" on

This is the picture of the connector. You can see the windshield washer fluid reservoir to the right, the pump down below, and the connector facing toward the camera with nowhere to go. Any hints? I can't find anything it reaches (its lead is only about 2" long) and I can't find anything...

"Extra" connector and "VSC, etc lights" on

I reset the lights by resetting the ECU by unplugging the battery for 5 minutes then driving around to verify. I found this thread -- http://www.toyota-4runner.org/problems-warranty-issues/32818-one-cause-fix-vsc-trac-vsc-off-lights-zero-point-calibration.html and was having problems getting...

"Extra" connector and "VSC, etc lights" on

Yesterday, my friend and I installed the Toytec 1" body lift on my 2006 4Runner. Putting it back together, we found an "extra" connector that comes off the wiring harness with the connector that goes to the pump for the windshield washer unit. Neither of us remember disconnecting it, but it...

    Hello from Maryland

Hello! Long time reader, first time poster. I have a 2006 4Runner that I've installed the Toytec Ultimate 3" suspension lift, 1" body lift, 32" tires, and Spidertrax 1.5" spacers are on the way. I'm using the stock rims because I was trying to do it "on the cheap" because my son wanted a...
