I have a 2018 SR5 with about 960 miles on it. Haven't noticed any kind of shimmy yet. I'll update here if one develops when she's got some more miles on her.

Insurance I know you don't know me from Adam OP, but I'm going to chime in and strongly agree with what everyone else is saying. Absolutely go through their insurance! You are the victim, and there could be hidden damage you're not seeing that could become a serious issue down the road...
