I’m heading to Ocala national forest with the family Friday morning and staying for the weekend. Going to do some off roading in my 2wd. Hoping my buddy with a 4x4 jeep heads up with us. Anyone with good info of the trails please let me know what to avoid in my 2wd if I end up solo.

Thanks for all the replies guys. Learning the differences between the them is helping my decision process. Keep the info rolling. I’m use to my V6 and no timing belt replacements and I also change the oil myself. Removing the skid plate doesn’t seem hard at all so I don’t think that’s a deal...

Awd So the V8 is all time 4 wheel drive and the V6 is not? I see the same dial in both so do they work differently? Never had a 4x4 so new to this set up. As far as maintenance the timing belt is the only difference?

Thanks for your input but not trying to do anything hardcore. Previous posts indicated that it’s very doable in Ocala NF so why not try it. I’m considering a 4x4 in the future but don’t want to let go of my 2wd just yet. I bought it new in 2006 and its my daily driver.

Looks jacked up! Do you have anymore info on the Ocala National Forest? I was looking it over last night to plan a trip for next year. What trails would I be able to do in 2wd? It says OHV permit/pass or something along those lines for some trails. Or does that apply to all trails?

Thanks for the insight. Always wanted to take my 2wd somewhere good to off road. I didn’t know they were allowed in the Ocala National Forest. Big Cypress 4x4 is required to buy the permit. Do you have more videos and pictures?
