I know this sounds dumb as hell to do this, but I just traded in my STI on a new TRD Pro, and I still have my expensive snow tires that would be superior in the winter and save the stock nitto's some mileage. The stock trd rim is 7" width which will accept my 235/45's. Besides worse gas mileage...
My opinion will most likely change when I see a nicely designed winch bumper for it though :)
This just gave me an idea. Anybody have off road lights mounted to 5th gen 4runner. Just wondering if mounting bracket and off road lights would be mounted too low if covering up the chrome bar.
True. I had an 09 x5 diesel when first came out. However, even diesel savings won't make up for the depreciation hit compared to 4runner. Oh, and I refuse to buy a grand cherokee with nothing but problems posted all over forums with electronics. Latest rumor is that Tundra in 2017 will have...
If you hate it don't buy a limited.
Thanks. Very helpful. (Note sarcasm) I took both of my previous limiteds off roading, and there is no other midsize suv on the market currently. If you want safety connect and full time 4wd, it's the only option.
wanted safety connect and full time 4wd. I had 2010 and 2011 4runner limiteds and loved both of them but do 50,000+ miles per year, so go through vehicles. Just hate so much chrome compared to previous limiteds.
Before I ask, I have scoured the internet looking for the answer to this if it's already posted somewhere. What are you limited owners doing about the massive chrome strip? Plastidip is out. My 14 is silver. Is having a body shop remove, strip and paint with body color something that's been done?
It's surprising how many people think a 4x4 truck needs winter tires the least when it is exactly the opposite. Imagine braking and/or cornering on slick icy roads in a 3000lb car vs 6000lb truck with considerably less traction with a kid walking out in front of you. Before I get flamed by pro...
Thanks for replies. Just ordered blizzaks today for stock rims. Guess I'll stick with original plan of 265/65-18's on aftermarket rims from tirerack. I'll have to verify fitting completely though because tr has stated xd series addicts 20" would not fit 4runner without lift and yet I see pics...
Anybody else going to try GY Adventure 265/60r20 tires on limited wheels when they come out in January? Listed for 1/24/14 release on tire rack and fit 7" rim!:reddance:
towing 4000lbs 5700 miles
2010 4runner limited. i pulled 4000lbs from york, pa to los angeles, ca and back in the summer. on way back to pa took northern route through colorado rockies just to see them. besides downshifting to 1st up steep inclines and holding second gear and some brake for...
