Thanks , but I saw that link in the thread. All that does is take me to a website. I was hoping someone could tell me what exact Heli-coil kit to get , size wise? I guess it's just 14x1.25?
Anyone got a link to the time cert and Helicoil kits for this job for this Job on my 2000? Not sure which one to order.
Parts numbers??
MIne just took a shit and I'm stranded out at the very end of the 4x4 area on Carova Beach, OBX. Thank god I have my Coleman mini-bike to get to the mail...
I live way up Carova Beach on the OBX, also known as the "4WD Area" of Currituck County with no roads, signs, mail delivery or lights. It's pretty rough on the ride with all the salt and sand dunes and rough terrain. It's 15 miles up the beach to get home. Blew out my rear end after the dreaded...
I had the damn Barnes cover in my back seat and decided I was gonna drive the vehicle with the pinholes off the sand (I live at the end of Carova Beach) and another 70 miles to my buddies shop to have the old cover cut off and the Barnes welded on. I have been through this before on my last...
Extended ball joints. They have a set with an extended stem. I don't suppose I need to get into all that. The only thing I'm having trouble with is the part number. Nothing on the part itself. I see a 25001 and a 25002 that look identical except for the new grease fitting.
I see some extended length joints as well. Wondering if they would make sense? I have a 3 inch lift and a 2 inch body lift. I do alot of off road travel as I live in the 4WD area of the Outer Banks.
So I picked up a 2000 that has some obvious upgrades. trying to figure out what the previous owner did with the ball joints here and where I can get replacement parts since they are obviously not stock.
The rest of the body looks great. I had some damage to the tail gate so I recently swapped that out for a 99 in excellent shape. However this should stand as a testament to the factory work because the only rust on the body is where work was done with inferior materials from a collision. Yeah...
Well, I'm 86ing the runner boards for sure but like I said the only difference between the drivers side and the passenger side is a collision job done a few years back. The passenger side is perfect but I can see the logic of removing the runner boards. I will be taking plenty of pics tomorrow...
