This discussion has wandered away from my original question, for those folks that did a complete fuel injector replacement using aftermarket (reman/refurbished) injectors, which ones did you buy and do they seem to be working OK? It's nice to have some first hand experience from someone before...

I don't think we are locked in that all the injectors have gone bad. However, once you go through the process of pulling everything off that you need to so you can access the fuel rail, it makes sense to go ahead and replace them all while your in there.

But what if it is not a firing problem, but a leaking injector? The crappy gas we have these days wears injectors out and they leak into the cylinder. I would think the only way you could tell that is by replacing (or rebuilding) them all. Am I thinking all wrong about this???

My son's 4Runner is doing essentially the same thing - but his doesn't do it generally when it's cold, but starting up after a short drive. It generally clears itself out quickly, but the CEL stays on. Friend of mine who works on cars says it may be the aftermarket plugs and spark plug wires...

OK, the part you reference is for a new breather plug. Don't I want to get the one with the nipple extension so I can hook a hose to it and vent it above the axle? Sorry for all the questions, I just want to make sure I'm doing this right.

Just to make sure I am getting the correct part, I need a new breather for the REAR axle. Will the part noted above work for the rear?

I'm probably going to have to do this mod to my son's 4runner. Where is a good place to order the modified breather stem like the one pictured above?
