I had a very similar problem. I woke up in the middle of the night hearing my fourth generation 2007 4runner alarm going off and noticing the rear wiper and the headlights on, despite the engine off and doors locked. It was a bizarre sight to see. Additionally, there were some clicking noises...

My 07 Limited volume knob began acting up but fortunately the steering wheel volume buttons are fine. Anyone know what is the cause and fix other than replacement? Thanks! :thumb:

Thanks for the advice ClockWork. I wrapped it in electrical tape and the rattle is gone.

I have a rattle that originates from the upper section of the right rear seat. When folded down, there are no rattles. But when it is upright and locked with a passenger, there are occasional rattles when driving over bumps. If anyone has fixed this issue, I would appreciate hearing from you...

I have noticed that my 2007 4Runner Limited lift gate switch operates fine in warm temps but requires much effort to press when the weather is cold. Does anyone know how to fix this problem, other than replacing the entire part? Thanks in advance for the help. :thumb3:
