This is my daily knive. It's always on my glove box. In TX i can carry it on my pocktet 24/7. Since am in SFO and am not sure about the laws here and CA I keep it on the car. Does any one knows if am able to carrying with me on my pockets?

Best you can do is put your money in good lenses. Kit ones are good for almost everything, but when light comes down there is noting like a good f1.4 or f2.8 lens, i.e. 50m f1.4 or 70 - 200m f2.8.
