If i were you, id just buy the part and replace it. Cheap and very easy to do.

Well, i forgot to update but i did replace my unit with the part number described and it worked immediately. Problem 100% solved and i can easily shift betweeen 2 and 4wd now.

Yeah, i was able to shift through all including neutral, and have it definitely in the upper left position, still acts the same way. I’m really Hoping this sensor fixes the issue!

Update to this? I’m having a similar issue. I’ve ordered the front diff sensor 84222-3070 and am getting it in tomorrow. Will be replacing the fluids and the sensor as well hoping this fixes my issue. Blinking 4x4 light and yellow diff light (if that makes a difference). I am also skidding...
