Spray Down engine bay with Silicone Lubricant Spray

No, not necessarily horrible. Personally I like to keep all additional chemicals away from rubber hoses and grommets. Bi-annual spray down with soft water and a towel dry is all I do to my motor. Good luck!

Yeah probably more wolf (at least they sure make noise at night) - but, mostly black bear country.

    Ron's Wanderings Since December 2014

Hey Ron - like your thread here, keep 'em coming! I'd love to have the time to visit old ghost towns here in AZ. Maybe someday. Until then I'll live vicariously through good threads like this :)

Yeah, having a 'street sense' or ability to quickly 'read' a person or situation is certainly an intangible asset to our EDC mental bag :)

Man, isn't that the truth Andy? Sometimes the evil man is capable of just blows my mind. Being able to recognize the depth of these predators is a step in the right direction! These freaks always come to you as a friend... As a loner introvert, I can tell you it takes a lot of effort to get...

Can't even begin to imagine what that horror scenario was like. I think human population is getting out of control. Sorry to deviate from the topic.

Hey El - you're absolutely right - need a long. Don't always bring it, depending on how deep I'm getting away from society, she comes along for the ride :) Hope this pic isn't too big. Man I hate Photobucket! <a...

Emergency Preparedness & your EDC bag

Started building a survival kit immediately after procuring this 4Rnr. Still work in progress. I four-wheel alone 95% of the time. Love the solitude and freedom to explore at will, the risk also ads a nice edge (however I do not recommend it!). Bought some decent items from Harbor...

    Guitar Gear

Hey Ammomac - yeah, it can be. That 1 watt Marshall really helps me when wifey is home. It'll go down to 1/10th of a watt thank goodness :)

    Guitar Gear

New guy here reviving a thread - not only am I new to 4Runners, I'm also new to guitars (about year and a half). You guys have a lot of nice rigs! A tele is next on my list but I want to try building one. Well, anyway here is an older pic of my studio (EasyStreet) - the Mesa is my newest...

    Old Guys?

Hey RedSled - cool dog! OK I'm in this club - but, I need an exception: Whenever I get into a vehicle, my right foot seems to become 18 again. Other than that, the rest of my body is getting absolutely pummeled by gravity and time ;)

Calling all stockers'...or would that be the non-'builds'?

Hey folks - new 4R guy here... yeah I'm contemplating mods but I'm clearly having a blast with the stocker. Owned this rig about 5 weeks now, already 2500 miles and 6 separate excursion outings in the pines, snow, and desert. Skid plates are 'broken in' for sure :) OK, I'm lying -...
