Back on the forum! It's been 10 years since I was on here regularly. My son turns 16 this coming summer, so we are getting a 4Runner ready for him. This is the current status....[url=https://flic.kr/p/2qCKuXk] Several things planned!

I found "The One", 2001 Sport Ed. TRD SC'd

Oh man. This is so sad to hear. Nick is the ONLY person that I called on the phone to talk to about a supercharged 4runner….having never met him. He will be missed. RIP Nick.

    Bad MPG’s/What’s yours?

I get 13-14 in the winter, and 15-16 in the summer. About 225 miles a tank, and put about 16-17 gals in usually. If I get 12 on a tank right now, I just shrug and go on. Type of driving makes a massive difference, as well as everything everyone else has said. My truck with stock tires would...

    Dirtco's Adventure Thread

Wow. I'm late to the party, but I did just go back 15 pages and get caught up. So glad you are good after that roll, and HOT damn the truck is transformed. Can't wait to see pics of it out on the trail again!

    **The Duster 2.0 - 00' 4Runner SR5**

Just caught up on the #2 Duster, and super stoked you have a 3rd gen again. *Quick note, I wanted to reference your high idle issue. Personal experience for me: every time I have the engine apart for anything decently in depth (where the intake comes off, I clean sensors, etc etc) I get a high...

Blown to Boosted, The Build Thread. *PIC HEAVY*

Haha, yeah thankfully it was just a one time event and not something I fight with all the time. I had just installed a URD AFR calibrator that is "supposed" to add fuel in closed loop, so I took a steep highway hill in high gear and tried to make it detonate like it historically always would...

Blown to Boosted, The Build Thread. *PIC HEAVY*

That's awesome, and good thinking. I have some pinging issues with my supercharger, but have not once thrown a knock code for detonation. But I did have to tear the whole thing down and replace both sensors and the wire harness when the harness went bad. That's the only time I've seen a knock...

01 SR5 Engages and Disengages 4HI/4LO but CDL Inoperative

I'm right here with rightyouareken, probably not much help, but I can also confirm my 2001 SR5 does NOT light up, and is the same style that returns to the same position after being pressed. However, my CDL has also NEVER works since I've owned the truck. I've never needed it, so I've never...

Blown to Boosted, The Build Thread. *PIC HEAVY*

Sweet project! I just looked through most of the pics on flickr, and started following you on there! I'm intrigued by your knock sensor setup that you have a couple pictures of right before the bumper build pics started. Care to expound on what you were able to do with that setup like that to...

We live in northwest MO, so we drove out to Colorado on a Wednesday, and camped north of Rocky Mountain National Park for 4 nights. He does great. We were at a primitive campground with just an outhouse, but we’re well prepared so never wanted for anything.

    Quicksilvr's Build Thread

Pictures! I finally got around to fixing the drain bolt on the front diff, as well as upgrading to Tundra front brakes. I replaced both axles with some new parts store units (CarQuest) since both had been run with basically "no" inner boots for a couple years. I don't do any real offroading...

    The 3.4L TRD Supercharger Thread

Hey, I'm really interested in doing this as well. I'm always slightly leery to buy remanufactured stuff off Amazon because seller's aren't always the best. But if they are OEM parts that have been properly reman'd i'm sure they are good stuff. How many miles/time do you have on your reman's...

Stutter under heavy acceleration no codes, no CEL

I replaced all 3 of my ignition coils with Denso 673-1201 (not Toyota branded, but the exact same part for less $$), replaced the plugs, cleaned the MAF, cleaned the crank position sensor, and cleaned the throttle body. Started it up, and it runs perfectly, stronger than it has in a long time...
