    Cylinder 3 Misfire

My last misfire was due to a bad injector. The coil inside went open circuit. Got one off of rockauto. No problems since.

    How to tell radiator age?

Radiator Before you take a chance on an ebay/amazon sourced radiator with all of the shipping damage problems, you might want to check your local Toyota dealers parts website. I called around for a rad for my 2000 runner & was quoted around $240 for an oem radiator. I happened to stumble on...

    The never ending Air Conditioning

Check your local Toyota dealers website. Seems like they're discounting a lot of older 4runner parts. I just picked up a new oem (Denso) radiator for $111.00 , drop shipped with no shipping charge to the dealers parts dept. Filters & general maintenance stuff dirt cheap too!

    Denso 221-0508 radiator - $101.99

I called a few Toyota dealers in my area for a radiator for my 2000 sr5 & got prices around $280 which I figured was about par for an oem radiator. Then I found that if I went on their website, the listed price was $111.99 with no shipping to the dealership. What a deal! Picked it up today. The...

    Steering wheel puller?

I've had luck in the past loosening the nut that holds the steering wheel on,pulling up on the steering wheel and having a helper strike the steering wheel shaft . Just make sure you leave the nut on the shaft & try to hit the shaft straight on. Use a brass drift if you have one. Good luck!

aftermarket rear coil sring upper insulator/isolator?

coil spring isolators I put some coil spring spacers on the rear of my 2000 4runner. Rancho makes them and I purchased them from rock auto. The thinnest ones give you a 2in. lift but they're urethane and could be easily cut down thinner if you didn't want/need that much lift.

What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Rancho Shocks I put a set of Rancho 9000 series adjustable shocks and struts on my 2000 sr5. Couldn't be happier. My wife recently had back surgery and the stock shocks/struts gave a horribly stiff ride. To harsh for her to ride in. Ive got them all set to the one(softest) position. She rides...

Can't get my Coil Packs off, bolts completely rusted.

Ive never tried this but maybe some of the other members could chime in. I wonder if you took the whole valve cover off, you could access the spark plugs and then maybe warm up the coil bolts from below. Just thinkin...Good luck!
