Interesting read Absalom has. I always assumed the Old Man Emu coil springs were the best options for the 3rd gen 4runners. But he doesn't even mention them once.

So the heavy constant load 891's can't really handle all that weight? What's the option then? I was thinking of getting the 890's because I don't carry a constant load, but do often carry passengers with their paragliding gear up logging roads. What would you suggest in this situation? Also...

For the OME coil springs, I think I figured it out: Rear: 2906 - medium load 2890 - heavy load 330lbs to gvw 2891 - heavy constant load 660lbs to gvw Front: 2880 - stock 0- 110lbs 2881 - heavy 110lbs - 240lbs

I've got a '98 4Runner and I often carry people up into logging roads. Can someone tell me what the difference in loading is between the rear OME coil springs: 2890, 2891, 2906? I'd like something that won't sag or bottom out with weight, but not too stiff when empty. Also, what would you guys...
