You can get some pretty nice head units with navigation built into them for a lot less if you aren't worried about having the Toyota branded head unit. I suspect you could get something significantly nicer than the stock unit for about a quarter of the price.

I am no expert, but I know hub bearings can make noise when they go bad and can cause some movement. (Experienced this in other vehicles) That said, safety issues come to mind.
