Just got back from our yearly vacation in Duck North Carolina. The last few years we have done jeep tours up to Carova and back in search of wild horses. This year we didn’t have to. Between two trips up the beach, we saw between 20 and 30 horses.

I had always wanted to be able to drive up there in my own vehicle, and this year I did. I aired down the tires to 17lbs and just glided across the sand with out issue.
Between driving in the deepest sand on the beach and over steep dunes on some of the back roads, the setup worked perfectly.
We didn’t drive down to Cape Hatteras lighthouse this year, which is where I have gotten stuck the two years prior, but we absolutely went through much tougher terrain. (There were a couple spots where I was fairly certain I wouldn’t get up and over some of the dunes, but it wasn’t an issue at all.)
I have total confidence in the sand now and look forward to next time.
Thanks again to Ducmonsta and the crew over at High-Tech for putting me in the truck I always wanted!
Cheers!
