My harness is in no way OEM mounting there is zip tie and tape to hold it together......are you trying to figure out where to zip tie your wires to?

No heat problems at all. I never did a conversion on the black magic but it looks similar enough to the 500 so I don't think it will be any different in the conversion process.

Pull the spark plug out and turn the engine. If it is hydro-locked it should spray water out from the spark plug hole when cranking. If not then you might have just broke some internal moving parts.

Is just a head job, nothing major. If you take it apart your self and take the head to the machine shop, should not cost you more then $300 including new parts and some elbow grease. Buying a used engine is not a bad idea, but you dont know if that used engine have been taken care of

This problem of a cyl misfire happen to me before on one of my 3rd gen. The fix was running platinum spark plugs on all the normal cyl and run a iridium spark plugs on the cyl that is misfiring. Try it and let me know if that fix it.

This happen to me too when I did my timing belt but it was not as extreme as your case. My 4runner just idle at close to 2000 rpm for about 5 day to a week then it corrected itself

Do you have an A/C manifold gauge? If so hook it up and tell me the reading as the A/C is running, So i can help you out.

Only 191 miles??? wow that means you are getting around 13 mpg 0_0" The worst I got on my 4Runner was 16 mpg, and that was during off roading. Normally I get around 19.5mpg

Advantage of locking hub that is off top of my head: -Less wear on CV axle and boots specialy if lifted -Less wear on front diff -Less rolling resistance (= little better MPG) -If you front axle breaks can simply drive home with it on free mode Disadvantage: -$$$$ -One more device to maintain
