    Review of Garmin Nuvi 350

Then, is your 3 outlet switched, or always live? If switched, where did you get power from, exactly. TIA

    Review of Garmin Nuvi 350

Same problem with the rear plug(cargo area) for me. Makes me go, 'hmmmm'. Sharp4runner, yours seems different enough from my setup. ksneusbec, you are using the stock cig lighter/12v with your nuvi?

Good idea to try the trunk. JHarris, you having any issues? Also, you guys are talking about the stock 12v plug right? Not the optional $40 2nd 12v plug that goes into the ashtray?

    Review of Garmin Nuvi 350

Called Garmin. 20min wait. They understand what i'm getting at, but certainly have never heard of it, nor can help. States it seems like a Toyota thing. :( Anyone else can verify if this is ok, or is a problem for them, and what yr 4R you are? Could be that 2003-2004 there is a change. I'll...

    Review of Garmin Nuvi 350

I tried the 3.1 patch. no diff re: starting up with the cig lighter. 2003 4R. Friend has the same issue with his 2003 4R. The unit turns on, but it looks like the Nuvi's 12v plug detects a problem condition with the cig outlet and decides to not turn on. This works just fine on the Toyota...

No confusion here. Can't speak for whether the FAQ is wrong. I'll check the manual when i have a chance.

Oil suction device for oil change, v6 no workie

Thanks for the reply. Now i wonder what the engine really holds. I read thru the FAQ for the 03 v6 and it says 6.4qt. I wonder if the FAQ is wrong. Per my older records, i had pulled out 5.0qt on the first change, put in 5.8qt, and it was way overfilled. pulled out .5qt, and left it at the full...

Oil suction device for oil change, v6 no workie

Just a heads up. I have one of these oil suction/pump things to do oil changes. I love it. I just realized it doesn't work all that well for the v6. It only pulls out about 4.5qt. Subtracting the oil filter, .2qt, that still leaves 1.7qt somewhere in the engine. So assume .5qt for oil that will...

Scion HU. 1 knob and 3 knob for iPOD use.?

Can i use the 1 Knob HU from the 06 scion and hook up a ipod? If so, what do i need? I read the other threads, and frankly, kinda confusing. All i came away with, is some cable needed and no one has fabbed it yet. Going into a 03 SR5, no JBL.

    Xreas Saved My Life!

I think that is because Canada has more meese than the US, and the XREAS is needed to swerve around the meese. ;-)
