He is looking at an 08 jeep tonight and on Sat he's going to look at a 2000 4runner thats about an hour away.

Was this a 2dr or 4dr Jeep ? Because I'd think the longer wheelbase 4 door would be better on the highway ?

Personally, I prefer the 4runner, my neighbor had one years ago and I always loved the look, plus the Toyota quality - thing had like 300,00 miles but looked brand new.

Hello, My brother is looking at getting a 3rd gen 4 runner or a Jeep 4 door from 2007 ish... aside from the obvious fact that the doors and roof come off the Jeep, how do they compare ? He doesn't off-road hardly or at all, he'd be DDing it for getting around with his wife and 2 kids.

Thank You for that excellent input. I've been looking at 4th gen runners too, because you get a V8 and sunroof, plus they're newer and that Toyota build quality...but those damn Yukons are handsome and as a former hot-rod car guy, I'd love to do a 6.0/4L80E swap, maybe with a turbo, you can't...

Thanx for the replies, seems they're both great but after looking through the "picture threads" of each, I just cannot make myself like the 4th gen, despite having the 4.7 V8 over the 3.4 V6 of the 3rd gen....I pick the 3rd gen, I think they're very handsome lol Any differences in daily...
