We have both. The 4runner serves is purpose but the 4.6 6 speed tranny and amities in the GX are far superior to the 4Runner. Don’t get me wrong the 4runner is an amazing machine. Just know if you plan on lifting adding 285s and a bit of weight on the 4runner a regear is almost necessary. IMO...

Im thinkin about extended rear links. Is anyone running either of these with noticeable changes to the rear? These links used to be 80 now they nearly doubled in price. Is this correct?

I put a four 3” 1/4-20 all threads up there with wing nuts and plastic washers for my maxtrax along with 4 threaded eye hooks for strapping down my chairs and gazelle tent. I am quickly running out of the t-nuts to thread in my mounts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well said, the lean is in the noise!

Ive got 302s and 325s. My 4Runner leans less than 1/8 inch. I couldn't be happier with the out come. The 1/8'' lean is all in the noise and not noticeable. The only thing I'd change is I should have gotten longer rear end links from the beginning.
