It was the lower control arm, and only the driver's side. Used the strap method to get the LCA up that little 1/2" I needed to get the angle right.

Yeah the KDSS is disconnected but when I jack up the LCA the shock barely compresses and the truck is just lifting off the jack stand on that side.

How did you resolve this? I'm in the same situation right now with truck on jack stands and stuck. Ack!
