Axle seals leaking through wheel bearing or brake wheel cylinder. Most likely axle seals. Have a look at the brake reservoir and confirm if it's low but highly not the culprit.

OP, I was in the same boat as you over the summer. Picked up another spare loaded axle and went to town on it but in my back yard. I only reused my 3rd member aka rear diff. Rest was freshened up. IF you need Oem wheel bearings, I have a new pair of unused set with outer rubber boot. I'm close...
