Yes, there are two versions of "finishing caps". One for the base model with the thin chrome strips, and one for the SR5 flares. The last time I checked, you could still get the base model caps; however, the SR5 drivers side is no longer in production, and not available anywhere. They come up...

There is a switch on the passenger side of the transfer case. Pull the connector and jump the wires. If the dash light comes on, replace the switch. It's around $60 at Toyota.

Did you clearance for the 4.7 gears? Sometimes the case will leak after clearancing due to porosity in the casting...
