    Help needed on 2013 LE

Update - many of you were interested in whether or not I bought the vehicle that was the subject of the first post. I would like to clarify, that I have not yet. At this point, quite a bit of time has elapsed, so if I do purchase something, it will not be what I was originally looking at.

    Help needed on 2013 LE

Feeling pretty good about not buying the 4runner I was looking at. I will now buy a 2018, which will be much newer.

I made my mind up to buy this vehicle last week and now it has been sold. I will start the search over.

5th gen 4runner build for road tripping?

Acura. For what you're looking to do, I think it's an option: Better gas mileage Better interior, more features Just as reliable Way more power Can tow more Better ride Sorry, just saw you already have a limited. (halfway through first cup of coffee)

5th gen 4runner build for road tripping?

I would probably do an MDX and be done with it if you are only going on dirt roads. Rides a lot better and has more features.

    Buying new Trail

In my area, most Toyotas were about 4-5k off MSRP around this time. I'm not sure if the 4Runner was included on that list. The main thing I've looked at is how a particular model is selling. With 4Runners it seems to be dependent on the area.

    Help needed on 2013 LE

In case there was any question, I did not buy the 4runner. I am waiting until 2017 models come out.

First oil change in desert climate

I'd do 5k on the first change, but that's just something I've always done. I can really speak to the type of weather you have, but maybe some of the other guys will chime in. I know there's been a ton of discussion on the topic in the past.

    Help needed on 2013 LE

Thank you all for your responses. They really put it in perspective for me. Since there is a substantial discount on it, I think I'm going to go look at it in person. I did see the leather thread, which is one reason that prompted me to create this thread. I appreciate all the help and hope...

    Help needed on 2013 LE

We are looking for a 2013 4runner and prefer leather. The sr5 is a little stripped down (for our needs) unless you add premium package, which tends to elevate the price a bit. The LE has all the options we want, but is a little more than we would like to pay. The other day I came across a new...

    Frame Welds Rusting Already

I did not know Toyota had such a problem with rust, but based on your last comment, I performed a quick review. It appears the Tacoma and a couple other models have had some serious rust issues to the extent that there was a buyback. I guess I would be concerned myself.

    Frame Welds Rusting Already

Dear Whiplash Willy, If the rust bothers you that much, could you have a body shop look at it? Additionally, you could always wire brush it an hit it with paint. I understand you are concerned and obviously plan to keep your vehicle for a while. In my country, rust is not an issue, but I imagine...

    Installing aftermarket 110V?

I know this is for a 4th gen, but might provide some ideas/help. Not sure though. http://www.toyota-4runner.org/engines-suspension-wheels-tires-audio-accessories/12163-powering-ps2-factory-power-inverter.html?postid=106234 Alternatively, you could try to source the factory inverter at a junk...
