Help needed on 2013 LE

We are looking for a 2013 4runner and prefer leather. The sr5 is a little stripped down (for our needs) unless you add premium package, which tends to elevate the price a bit. The LE has all the options we want, but is a little more than we would like to pay.

The other day I came across a new (30 miles on it) 2013 LE in Shoreline Blue with Sand Beige interior. It's been sitting on the lot for close to 2 months and there is a significant discount on it...marked down from $43,441 to $37,251. Reference pic* not the actual vehicle

This LE is exactly what we would be looking for since it's has no third row and no sliding tray. This configuration is very difficult to find in our area since 80% seem to come with one or the other. The only drawback for us, is that is has beige interior, which is a pain to keep clean sometimes. We would prefer black leather, but I think this odd color combination may be why it hasn't sold very quickly...The interior doesn't flow too well visually with the gray/beige/silver.
Does anyone have this color combination? What kind of value do you think this represents given that we have LE tastes as far as options, but an Sr5 budget. I know there won't be much room to negotiate, but I believe the MSRP is a bit inflated since the vehicle has no other options. In some respects, I think I should start looking at it seriously, but a lot of people have passed this model by. That said, I haven't looked at it in person.

Any help is appreciated!

That's a far better discount than I normally see on here.

MSRP is MSRP - IF you're seeing the "genuine" Toyota window sticker, and not a dealer-modified sorta thing.

Color choice is a personal decision. You have seen this thread I assume?

I much prefer a lighter interior - it doesn't heat up as much in the sun. My '03 is blue with a light gray interior. I've had it since new and the interior looks fine. I would jump on that deal.

IMHO color preference is a personal choice, personanlly I don't have problem with beige leather - I had Ford Escape with beige and the only part I cleaned with warm water was steering wheel. But if you don't like - find different T4R. Or Order a new one form a dealer. As I understand Invoice price is free information easily found in the Internet as well as MSRP, and it's possible to negotiate price under invoice price on some occasions. Whatever you decide remember that even in Canada nobody buy vehicles at MSRP price unless they too rich or too lazy to negotiate ; ) Another thing is that you probably will have T4R for many years and you'll see you truck every day, but you'll forget extra money you pay for colors and configuration you wanted ; )

I much prefer the black interior... But that's a small gripe considering the discount you appear to be getting. Never thought I would buy a Blue vehicle but lo and behold.... If the right deal presents itself you can't let something minor cloud your judgement. At the end of the day, it's still a 4Runner and black interior isn't going to make the experience any better once the novelty wears off or alter the 4Runner's performance. This is how I reasoned my purchase and I'm glad I stepped outside my comfort zone- I really do like the colour and it's a beautiful colour on a sunny summer day. Also, after a second look at that pic, beige ain't so bad. :)

The thing I would look into though, is the beige hard to keep clean and will it stain easily?

Thank you all for your responses. They really put it in perspective for me. Since there is a substantial discount on it, I think I'm going to go look at it in person.

I did see the leather thread, which is one reason that prompted me to create this thread.

I appreciate all the help and hope to join the ranks soon. (I don't have a 4runner yet, but have been lurking for 5-6 months or so.

I paid just over $35k for a 2011 SR5 with leather and third row. That sounds like a very reasonable price. My wife drives an Escape with tan interior (cloth) and I did not think I would like it. But, it has grown on me and it looks pretty good. Good luck!

I wouldn't hesitate to get it... I do love my black leather, but blue on beige is a combo i've never seen and by the sounds of it there aren't many out there. That only makes me want it more.

I've had both interior colors and the SB/Beige combo sounds like a good pairing in the LE. I had the beige in my Blizzard Pearl SR5 and it was cooler in sun, otherwise I prefer the black since most of the plastic is black as well.

I did have some blue jean staining/discoloration starting to appear on my SR5 drivers seat that would not show on black. Otherwise they both have black carpet. I've actually got the tan Husky liners from my SR5 in my Le and it brightens the cabin up some and doesn't look bad to me. I may switch to black at some point but don't see a real big reason to spend the $$
