I go to Oahu every March and have noticed this as well. Tons of Tacos and 4Runners. I had been wanting a 4runner for years and finally after this last visit to Oahu it drove me to the breaking point and I came back and bought one.

This is the only other picture I have. It is sitting about 3 inches over my sunroof. I am actually considering moving the front bar forward all the way so I can bring it forward another inch or two. In this picture you can not fully open the back.
