    Conceal Carry

I'll bite... Not going to touch number one, but I think you are misinformed on point 2. Share of Adjusted Gross Income by group Average Tax Rate (Percent of Adjusted Gross Income paid in income taxes Tax Shares (Percent of federal income tax paid by each group) Yes, this data is for 2009 --...

    Conceal Carry

Yeah it is very true that you are far more likely to be in an accident than a situation where you would need to use a firearm to defend yourself. And to be fair the comparison to a seatbelt/airbag is a little off because I can't mishandle my seatbelt and injure (or kill) someone 50 feet away...

    Conceal Carry

I've never needed the seatbelt or airbags in my T4R either; but should that day come where I am in an accident I am going to be extremely happy that they are there. Same thing goes for a handgun carried for self-defense, odds are extremely low that you will ever need to use it; but if you are...

    Unique, hidden XM/GPS antenna install.

For my headunit (Pionner Avic-Z1) I had to thread the wires through the grommets from the engine side towards the cabin side. The end of the cable that ultimately plugged in to the back of the headunit was small enough to get through the grommets without much trouble.

    Unique, hidden XM/GPS antenna install.

Strange, the pics still show up for me. If you still can't them just send me a PM and I will send them your way.

    Unique, hidden XM/GPS antenna install.

As A.Wilson said there is no compromise in signal strength. I did a test before installing and saw no change in reported signal strength from having the antennas just stuck on the roof. That install was done 2.5 years ago and I still have had literally zero issues with anything related to this...

Satellite Radio Using a Pioneer HU.

Some channels are shared across the platforms, like the music and general talk stations. The "Best of Sirius" and "Best of XM" packages for the things that they had "exclusively" to one or the other. So the Best of Sirius will give an XM subscriber things like Howard and NFL games. While the...

Help with Speed Sensor and reverse wire identification

A while back I posted this thread on doing an external XM/GPS antenna install but still having them hidden: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/audio-electronics/42317-unique-hidden-xm-gps-antenna-install.html Years later I have yet to have any issue with this install, reception or otherwise.

Need a 2nd Catalytic Converter replaced?

In the worst case those codes can mean that the cat itself has gone bad, but as many people have opined across the internet; if you maintain your vehicle a modern cat should last the majority, if not all, of the life of the vehicle. More common (and cheaper) problems that can throw those codes...

What is this windshield trim and how to fix it?

I have done that before, it is a big PITA to fix just one segment like that. The only way I have fixed it and made it stay was when I needed to get under that cowl anyway to access the cabin fresh air intake. It involves taking the wiper blades off, but then you can get the whole molded cowl...

New Rattle/Creak -- Only when braking or turning??

My 2005 SR5 has recently developed a new rattle/creak that I cannot for the life of me figure out where it is coming from. I have ~119,000 miles on it with all service performed at recommended intervals. The biggest problem I have had with it is when a rodent chewed through the wire leading to...

    Sirius/XM in 3rd Gen

I am pretty sure the 3rd Gen roof setup won't allow this, but it may give you some ideas. This is how I installed and completely hid my XM & GPS antennas on my 4th gen. http://www.toyota-4runner.org/audio-electronics/42317-unique-hidden-xm-gps-antenna-install.html

Where is vent to relieve positive cabin pressure

I have a 2005 SR5 and am looking for information of the flap type vents vehicles usually have to relieve the positive pressure from things like closing a door or the fan set to "Fresh Air". No matter how hard I search online I cannot find any mention or diagrams of where such a vent might be...

    Best Iphone Options

Pretty much everything I could find said to do the HU first, which I agree with (and have done personally). The reasons given included: 1) Stock HU might not be able to power aftermarket speakers properly so you will get degraded sound. 2) Stock speakers can sound pretty decent when driven by...

    Yet Another Mouse Thread

It is a 2005 (I realized after I posted that it was in the 5th gen forum instead of 4th)
