I never discovered what that was used for and haven’t had any issues. FYI, l am still running the same setup since I published this article. Too many other projects and kiddos running around to get to the remaining items. Stereo is way better than stock and I’m living with the color mismatch...

Hey, I never had any problems with the controls or volume. Everything worked right away... I could only imagine that there is a connection issue with the wiring harnesses. Do you have a multimeter to test continuity on the buttons and the harness? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
