Re: my baby WOW thats a clean rig....mine was that pretty when I first got it.......I would pay that much for one that clean.Watch your timing chain if the guides have not been replaced,go to metal backed guides if you do,I went to a dual row chain also from LC Engineering when I did my motor...

Those pins will bend if you have to put a good yank on someone....once they bend you will have to get it cut to remove it.Not saying dont do it ...just my .02

The only wind noise I had is from bad door seals...easy fix. there are I think 14 bolts that hold the top on.I only have 8 in mine(comes off alot in the summer)and I dont have any noise.

I ran a 33x12.50 on my 1st gen with a little trimming...I will post pics later.I would go with a 1st again(removable top) I have a 86 sr5...sunroof,p/w,p/l,rear heat....amazing some options they had then.I would take the 22re over the 3.0 If you can find one...2nd gen 22re 5speed are cool rigs...

Thanks for the welcome.....I am in the process of of redoing the rig,make it a little more capable and put more protection on her.Trying to find a 4.7 for it with a reasonable price tag.Already have a new body(those are older pics...now the only strait panel on it is the hood).

I am not sure what you will be running it in.....I personally would not run one either.Have you checked into a factory e-locker?Alot of them are selling complete 3rd's already set up,just need to have electrical done. I dont run selectable because I am not on the street very often.If I ever do...

Stay away from the 3.0.......the have HG problems

there are a ton of write up on safe recorvery.....I have seen a shackle go through a back window and through the passanger seat, luckally no passanger in the truck.never hook it around a trailer ball or use a shackle to hook 2 straps together. here is one write up...there are plenty more...
