it woild still have drag and more chances of problem taking apart yokes. btw i pulled them out and it drives fine with way less drag. the bearing and hub are self supporting the axel doesnt keep the thing together like some 4x4s
I dont see how unbolting the half shaft could hurt the diff because it would still be closed as if the axel was still there. and for the hub it has seals so how would it mess with the bearings? on my 03 dodge ram 1500 it has 4x4 hubs but its 2wd and they have 100k+ on them with no problems what...

Can I take the front axels out of my 94 4runner for a 1200 mile trip to help with gas milage. the 2wd 4runner is rated at 19mpg vr my 15 mpg. Last I rember the axel is not load bearing but im not 100% I am 100 percent sure my axels always spin with the tires because i dont have auto or manuel...

i have finally had a day off and i spent it taking care of my runner. I changed every drop of fluid using only full synthetic. ran my diff lines up under the hood so i can play in the river. i also sand blasted my oil and trans pans, then painted them. last but not least i sonic blasted my skid...
the rear end is so low befor the quad. i didnt even notice if it was any lower. It didnt bottom out anywhere and i did some good offroading befor unloading:banana:

So I got a quad today and it doesnt fit inside my runner completly. So I measured a few things and cut some things i had layin in the yard and wala! hope you like.
P.s.the front wheels will rest on the steel bar.

I dont know exact miles. but its less then 2k as of right noiw. I had them completly rebuilt. milled, new stem seals, replaced out or order valves, cut new seats, trimmed valves, new springs and retainers.
I do want to get rid of the motor that is in the truck once im done with the new one. I didnt want to part it out but sell it whole. but no one has replied on the selling post i have made. so shoot me an offer and we can work something out.
The block is almost the same, not sure if it will bolt to the 4runner trans. also if you use the 3vzfe intake it will face the back of the motor. u can use the 3vze block and fe heads with fe pistons and gaskets and 3vze timing componets with the 5vzfe intake setup so it all faces the right...
