i had a "panic" stop the other day, and my car completely shut down in the middle of an intersection. It took several ties to restart-is this normal to power down?

has anyone removed and replaced this door above the cupholders on 03 and older models? i tried but didnt want to break the tabs-do you just squeeze and pray? thanks!!!
