Get the gasket kit for like $200ish, it has all the gaskets you need (including both head gaskets). I didn’t need a new timing chain or cam shaft chains or timing guides or tensioners. I did replace my vbelt and water pump. And the pulleys for the v belt are easy enough to change at a later...

Like many things, it was a great time, but I wouldn’t want to do it everyday. Had to rip off the timing chain cover twice because I messed up the timing the first time.

2005 V6, 185K.. just fixed the leaking head gasket myself.
