Didn't do anything but drive. I hit a milestone while doing just that last night. She's an '04 Limited V8 and I don't plan on letting her go anytime soon.

The resonator is the football shaped thing towards the end. I recently had my exhaust turned and routed out the side, behind the rear tire, and had the shop cut out the resonator. I still have the stock muffler and haven't noticed much of a change in sound with the resonator gone.

Bulletproof reliability is easy enough to get used to! :D I'm at 179k on my '04 V8 and I plan on going a lot longer.

I picked up a set of Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo 2's at the beginning of December and I absolutely love 'em. I'm in Michigan and they are great in the snow. Quiet too.

I'll definitely be ordering one of these from you in January now that TRDCal confirmed that it works on the V8's. Thanks!

I have an '04 and I installed these a couple of weeks ago and I'm assuming that I got them from the same eBay seller you did. They came in Toyota boxes, but the packing in the boxes didn't seem factory. Nothing on the lights leads me to believe that they aren't genuine Toyota and they fit...

Thanks for the feedback guys. When you say Customize Settings is this something I should mention to the dealer? Or is this something I can access somehow. If all else fails I found some info on how to remove the piezo, but I'd rather leave this for a last resort.

Mine must be louder, or the volume was turned down on yours at some point. I can easily hear mine from 75 - 100 ft. away.. and I'm sure the neighbors can too. It's frustrating because I know it's been done on '04's. This post is an example: Disabling unlock beeps. :redbrick:

You would think so. The manual says to contact the dealer and my dealer says that they tried, but couldn't do it.

I love my 4runner, but the loud beeps when locking/unlocking with the key fob have been driving me nuts since I got it. The manual says to contact the dealer about them and I have seen multiple posts stating that the dealer has the ability to turn the volume of these beeps down, or even off...
